England hopeful about winning against Pakistan

England's Twenty20 captain, Paul Collingwood, has said that his team will give its best to win the series opener against Pakistan.

The players would give their 100 percent despite 'an air of sadness' because of the 'spot-fixing' row involving three Pakistani players, The News quoted Collingwood, as saying.

"The guys are looking forward to getting on with the cricket and hopefully winning the game," the captain said.

Collingwood accepted that the last Sunday Test match was a difficult day for his team but the players are now focusing on the coming limited over series comprising of two Twenty-20 matches and five one-dayers.

"The guys are very much 100 per cent prepared to get on with the job in hand and play against Pakistan," he added. (ANI)
