Argentine footballer Carlos Tevez's lover has blasted his wife Vanesa and also accused her of trying to derail her fling with the Manchester City player.

Glamour model Mariana Paesani, 27, insists that she is the 100,000-pound-a week striker's "real woman" and not childhood sweetheart Vanesa, 25, who has just given birth to his second child.

"There have been problems between Carlos and Vanesa for years. Why do you think they live in different countries? He was not happy with her because he loves me," the Mirror quoted Paesani as saying through her mother Stella.

"People blame me for coming between Carlos and Vanesa, but that is wrong.

"If anything, she came between us, because she stopped us telling the world about our love. I am Carlos' real woman - not her.

"Carlos and me are madly in love, we have been for years, we are very happy together. I am not worried by the fact he has a baby with another women.

"My conscience is completely clear - I do not believe I have done anything wrong and I have nothing to be ashamed of.

"In fact I am happy that this story is out because it means Carlos and me do not have to hide our love any more. I have showed a lot of patience.

"I hated having to lie to everyone and now I am calm and happy.

"The only reason why we have been secretive and crept around is because there are small children involved," she added. (ANI)
