    (IANS)

Actress Anne-Marie Duff received the best actress honour for her role as John Lennon's mother in 'Nowhere Boy' at the Evening Standard British Film Awards.

The actress received the award Monday and she used her acceptance speech to thank her actor husband James McAvoy, who was in the audience, reported contactmusic.com.

'I'd really like to be Mrs. McAvoy for a minute and say thank you for seriously having to live with a flame-haired broken-hearted banjo player for quite some time' she said.
