    NC gay marriage ban opponents stump at colleges

    CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Opponents of a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage in North Carolina are going to college.

    A voter registration drive aimed at defeating the amendment when it comes up for a statewide vote in May kicks off on college campuses on Friday.

    Amendment opponents are in Cullowhee, home of Western Carolina University.
