Rob Chaney to substitute for injured Jason Martin starting this weekend!

(2/27/2006 Liberal, KS) When the NOS Energy Drinks/Mafia Motorsports #36 Maxim hits the track this weekend with the World of Outlaws it will have a familiar name to Ohio and PA sprint car fans behind the wheel. Rob Chaney will be at the helm beginning this weekend for the injured Jason "The Hitman" Martin. Chaney who was the winner of 2 non wing sprint car races last year at El Dora and a 2 time winner at Fremont Speedway is excited about his opportunity with the Martin Motorsports team. Chaney has run Phoenix before when he substituted for an injured Jack Hudenschild back in 1999. Chaney wound up with a top 15 finish.

"I am really looking forward to getting in the seat." Said Chaney. "I want to thank Jason and Dan (Martin) for the opportunity to pilot the Nos Energy Drinks/Mafia Motorsports #36 beginning this weekend. The team is off to a good start this season and I just want to keep that momentum up until Jason is ready to get back in the seat. The biggest challenge will just be working together for the first time but once we get on the track things will fall into place."

"We're happy to have someone of Rob's caliber in the car." Said The Hitman, "He has a lot of experience and has run several of the tracks we are heading to over the next few weeks. Brian did a great job for us and showed the caliber of the team we have and we think Rob can keep that momentum going. I am looking forward to working with Rob and giving him the equipment he needs to run up front and be a contender."
