Sutter was one win away from Stanley Cup glory in 2004

Darryl Sutter has resigned as coach of the Calgary Flames to concentrate on his general manager duties, paving the way for Jim Playfair to fill the post.
Playfair has been an assistant coach with the Flames for three years.
Following stints with Chicago and San Jose, Sutter became head coach in 2002 and guided them to the 2004 Stanley Cup finals, where they lost to Tampa Bay.
Last season, Calgary topped the NHL's
Northwest Division but lost to Anaheim in the Western quarter-finals.
"I've done it a long time and coached a lot of games so obviously I'm going to miss it)," Sutter told the team's website.
Before joining Calgary as an assistant, Playfair spent two-plus seasons as head coach of the Flames' minor league affiliate in Saint John, New Brunswick.
He guided them to the Calder Cup title in 2001.
