Suspect Indicted in 1995 Murder

A decade-old murder case out of Port Wentworth is now making its way through the courts. Port Wentworth police believe Juan Naranjo killed Jose Herbert on July 4, 1995 at the Layton Apartments on Crossgate Road.

Officers say Naranjo shot Herbert during an argument.

Almost a year ago, police in Virginia Beach arrested Naranjo for drunk driving. That's when he admitted to killing a man in Georgia.

He was extradited to Chatham County, and today he was indicted for Herbert's murder.
