No Result In Iran-EU Nuclear Talks

21 December 2005 -- Iranian and EU officials held a day of negotiations in Vienna today but no concrete results were announced.

The two sides agreed to resume their talks about Tehran's nuclear program in January.

Negotiations broke off in August as the EU attempted to convince Iran to give up its nuclear development program.

Iran insists it has the right to develop nuclear power for peaceful purposes but some countries, notably the U.S., say the program is a cover for a nuclear weapons program.

Britain, Germany, and France are leading EU efforts to convince Iran to end all uranium enrichment programs.
