Dennis Rodman is set to play a second game in the British Basketball League. The 44-year-old former Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons star played for the Brighton Bears last Saturday, scoring four points and getting seven rebounds in a 91-88 win over the Guildford Heat. Rodman had signed to play just one game, but the Bears' team sponsor offered him a contract Wednesday to come back for a second appearance against the Newcastle Eagles on Feb. 14.

Rodman, who led the NBA in rebounding seven times, has become somewhat of a household name in Britain following his appearance in the hit reality TV show "Celebrity Big Brother."

Rodman's first game with the Bears drew a 1,500 capacity crowd at the Brighton Triangle. He played 26 minutes. The next game will be played at the 3,500-seat Brighton Center.

"Fans who attended the game on Jan. 28 witnessed a unique event," the team said on its Web site. "Dennis was eager to play and was on court far longer than the period of the time he was contracted for. Since his departure to the USA he has been in contact with the Bears and is looking forward to his return."

Rodman, a five-time NBA champion, last played in the league for the Dallas Mavericks in 2000. He says he is considering an NBA comeback, reports the AP.
