Gaga helps out dad for restaurant

    (IANS)

Singer Lady Gaga has been lending a helping hand to her father for the opening of his new Italian restaurant here.

Her dad, Joe Germanotta's eating joint will be called Joanne Trattoria, reports thesun.co.uk.

Gaga is busy advising him on the menu, which is full of family recipes including a ten-layer lasagne, Grandma Rosie's Meatballs, mini-martinis and Nutella doughnuts.

"It's a real family effort. They've all been getting stuck in," said a source.

Gaga has commissioned her sister Natali, a budding designer, to create art for the walls, and the restaurant will be run by her dad and US celebrity chef Art Smith.

Even though her father is more than happy to have his famous daughter help him out, he dreads it every time she reaches for a knife.

"She's left-handed and every time I watch her chop, it makes me cringe," he said.
